Custom Crowns And Bridges:
Custom crowns are personalized dental restorations to revitalize your smile. These non-metallic all-ceramic crowns have high strength internal substructures which support chewing over the life of the crown. Multiple visits are required to secure an optimal result.
We make a wax pattern or mock-up considering your esthetic inputs and the functional aspect. Shortened upper central teeth and worn or flattened canine or eye teeth are re-designed to separate the teeth in sideways movements, in chewing and in the tip to tip position. We can show you the proposed changes in your mouth. The mock-up can be used to make processed composite temporary crowns which make for improved looks in the temporary phase and for another input opportunity.
A digital camera is used to assist in laboratory communication and we work closely with our technicians as the crowns are made. You will have a custom fitting visit where you see and try the actual crowns, and where we check the phonetic or speech patterns and the esthetic values. The biting relationship is checked and refined as needed. Final cementation takes place after you have approved the crowns in your mouth.
