High Tech Dentistry

As most Canadians now enjoy access to the Internet we are making our practice more digitally accessible for clients and for dentists as well. Please send us an e-mail at jnasedkin@telus.net so that we can include you on our e-mail address list.

DIGITAL DENTISTRY: When you visit our office, you will note that we no longer use conventional x-ray films. The Digital X-rays which we take require 85-90% less radiation per film and the picture is immediately viewable on the computer screen. This means we can send an image to a specialist for consultation directly and have a reply in very little time. The chemicals for x-ray developing have been eliminated and this has meant some very useful additional storage space for the office.

DIGITAL CAMERA: Conventional slide photographs are a thing of the past, even for complicated diagnostic cases. It is very simple to download the images from the camera and these new photos can be sent by e-mail and are slated to become part of your permanent paperless record.

DIGITAL PREVIEWS: When we are planning treatment or considerable alteration of tooth structure we can now manipulate our photographic images to make teeth appear longer or wider, and can even provide you an advanced look at teeth which might be bleached a specific number of shades lighter.

COMPUTERIZED BITE ANALYSIS: We have a computer and digitally-based diagnostic system for bite analysis which provides graphic images to assist our treatments, and which provide some timings in micro-seconds which have not been detectable heretofore.

PATIENT EDUCATION: We have included some before and after photographs of cases of interest. This means that you can view these completed cases or discuss them with your spouse or partner if they are of interest to you.

INFECTION CONTROL: We are committed to the highest surgical standards of infection control. Every instrument which is used has been ultrasonically cleaned, rinsed and then placed in a specific container, wrapped protectively and then sterilized. We use many and numerous disposable devices to further avoid contamination. All of our dental engines are flushed, oiled and then cleared with compressed air to remove excess oil prior to sterilization. To avoid the development of hazardous biofilms in our various lines from city water, we use antiseptically treated water from containers for all procedures requiring water spray.

We are committed to STATE-OF THE-ART dentistry for your mouth health and peace of mind.
